The Company
Reel Vision films has been around since the late 80′s – it just didn’t have a name yet.
Back then it was a small operation comprised of cousins who were in the wrong place at the wrong time and a sister who never really had a choice in the matter. Our first summer blockbuster was a remake of Ace Ventura Pet Detective. After a week of the longest days we’ve experienced on set to date, Vincent was left with a burned out crew and an incomplete film.
These days he runs his sets differently. You’ll be happy to know that Vincent’s sister wasn’t completely traumatized by his over-the-top home movies … in fact, she has produced a few of the films you will see on this site. One thing Vincent learned from his days of shooting home footage was that the set is always a fun place to be if everyone is like family. And that’s what Reel Vision Films is all about. We’re passionate about what we do and we care a lot about each other. We pride ourselves in attracting some of the most talented filmmakers and putting them into one room to create films that tell a good story. Story, by the way, is what drives us. Sure the gear and explosives are fun (as are the car chases), but it wouldn’t be as meaningful if not driven by a story worth telling.
The Founder
Creating meaningful experiences is why Vincent Masciale launched Reel Vision Films in the first place. It’s a way he can keep his passion for filmmaking alive and provide a more structured outlet for he and his colleagues to work on projects they care about. So far, the collaborative environment of Reel Vision has lent itself to dynamic award-winning films such as Masciale’s latest, Official Selection.
If you want to know what he has spent most of his 12-year career doing, we are proud to say that he has been editing for shows airing on CBS, FOX, MTV, VH-1, Spike TV, Discovery, Travel Channel and the Fine Living Network. His most recent work can be seen every night on Fox via the hit celebrity news show, TMZ (don’t judge, it pays the bills!).
